Earth Medicines: Restoring Balance with Traditional Healing Essentials
Thursday, May 26, 2022
9:00 am – 12:00 noon
Cost: $200 CAD
Join us for this workshop with traditional knowledge holders as we create tinctures, teas, foods, and salves from common Earth Medicine plants. Participants will gain hands-on experience and understanding of the importance of Earth Medicines from various Indigenous worldviews working with common plants, water, and using intentional mind-body energy for healing. These essentials create a foundation for restoring balance and working with plant relatives. Additionally, we will discuss the importance of food as medicine, water, and mutual respect and reciprocity. During our time together in this workshop, we will build a communal space to create heart-felt medicines and honor the plant relatives with intention, love, respect, and gratitude. Everyone will leave with medicine they made to take home and share. We encourage anyone who has been curious about traditional holistic healing to attend.
Learning Objectives:
1. Participants will learn to create medicine from common everyday plants.
2. Participants will gain increased knowledge of Indigenous traditional worldviews.
