R2R recognizes that there are important non-profit and charitable organizations that have been supporting research directly and are involved in education, training, ethics, critical thinking, and supporting students and trainees wishing to conduct research in this space. They are all supportive of furthering the evidence base, which is our essential mission.

We are inviting applications from such non-profit and charitable organizations to participate through our promotional opportunity process. Successful applicants will be able to staff a table display or booth at the conference from which to distribute informational material that supports the research into psychedelic-assisted therapies and medicine as well as educational opportunities in the field.

Not-for-Profit Organization Promotional Opportunity Prospectus

Recent years have seen a rapid resurgence of research focused on the use of psychedelics in the treatment of mental health and substance-use disorders, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression, anxiety, and alcohol and nicotine addiction. Research programs in many countries are now studying the clinical benefits of psychedelics, but there are few channels for knowledge sharing and collaboration. In addition, there are policy barriers that limit access to psychedelics for study. As well, matters of equity, diversity and inclusion issues prevail in the field.

From Research to Reality (R2R): Global Summit on Psychedelic-Assisted Therapies and Medicine was created to address these issues. The goals of the conference are to stimulate knowledge exchange; help researchers and policymakers engage and address policy barriers and opportunities; and foster a culture of anti-oppression and inclusivity in the psychedelic space. To this end, researchers, clinicians, policy-makers and people with lived experience will gather at the 2022 international conference in Toronto to break down barriers to progress, share original research, and build a network of knowledge-exchange opportunities.

There are important non-profit and charitable organizations that we will believe would make a valuable contribution to the event. Many have been supporting research directly given the historic lack of government funding in this field. Many are directly involved in education, training, ethics, critical thinking, and supporting students and trainees wishing to conduct research in this space. They are all supportive of furthering the evidence base, which is our essential mission.

We are inviting applications from such organizations to participate through our promotional
opportunity process. Successful applicants will be able to staff a table display or booth at the conference from which to distribute informational material that supports the research into psychedelic-assisted therapies and medicine as well as educational opportunities in the field.

All not-for-profit organization applications will be reviewed by our Ethics Committee, confirming the non-profit or charitable organization status; reviewing their organizational mission statements and objectives for fit with the scientific and knowledge exchange goals of the conference; and document their previous contributions to research and education in the psychedelic space
